Jajpur: A man in Jajpur district allegedly sold his newborn daughter for Rs 7,000.
According to reports, a woman identified as Kanchan of Sanaraipada village in Kotapur panchayat under Dharmashala police station in Jajpur district had delivered a girl child at Dharmashala CHC at 6.45 AM on January 27.
On January 28, Kanchan’s husband Nata with the help of one Kalindi Das and his son Deepak Das of Sanaraipada sold the newborn to a person of Mahakalapada area in the hospital premises for Rs 7,000.
