Two Minor Boys In Jharsuguda

Bhubaneswar: Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Court under the POCSO Act in Jharsuguda court sentenced a person to 25 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting two minor boys.

The judge, Ms Puja Sarangi, handed down the sentence after finding Ajit Nag guilty of the heinous crime after a thorough investigation and trial.

As per reports, the case was registered on March 23, 2025, and the police completed the investigation and filed charges within 16 days. The court delivered its verdict on May 17, 2025, just 55 days after the FIR was registered.

The police had utilised scientific investigation techniques, including DNA analysis, to build a strong case against the accused.

According to the complainant, her 11-year-old son was roaming in the locality when Ajit Nag of the same village took him to the Old OPM Building at Haltanki on his motorcycle and sexually assaulted him there. When her son protested, Ajit Nag assaulted him and threatened to strangle him to death. Her son returned home and narrated his ordeal to her.

Furthermore, she stated that Nag had sexually assaulted her son several times in the past. According to her son’s statement, Nag had also sexually assaulted his nephew. It was also mentioned that Nag had previously been in jail custody in connection with a rape case.
