Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a devotee severed his tongue to get his wishes fulfilled. This incident surfaced from Ghatagaon Temple, in Keonjhar district on Tuesday.
The devotee has been identified as Bijay Pradah, a resident of Ganjam district.
According to sources, Bijay reached Maa Tarini shrine on Tuesday evening. He offered puja. Later, he took out a blade from his pocket and severed his tongue to appease the goddess.
Temple employees rushed him to Ghatagaon Community Health Centre. His condition is stated to be normal.
