Sundergarh: A man sustained critical bullet injuries after miscreants shot him over suspected past rivalry at IT colony under Bisra Police limits in Rourkela today.
Critically injured, Irfan Raja Khan was immediately admitted to Rourkela government hospital. He was referred to a private hospital after preliminary treatment.
The incident occurred when Irfan was walking near the Panchayat office in IT colony. Two masked miscreants opened fire at him and escaped.
He was taken to the hospital with a bullet inside the chest. After preliminary treatment, he was shifted to a private hospital for better treatment.
Dr Rajat Sadual, a doctor who attended him said “His condition was stable during arrival at the hospital. Blood pressure and pulse rate were normal. Only oxygen level decreased. We kept him on oxygen support. Immediately, we conducted an X-ray of his chest. The report showed a bullet inside. We were planning to refer him to Burla. As he is a BSKY beneficiary, we shifted him to a private hospital in the city.”
