Bhubaneswar: A 38-year-old man was allegedly killed in a toilet near Amar Bhawan under Plantsite police station in Rourkela.
The deceased has been identified as Abinash Yadav, a resident of Gopabandhupalli.
According to reports, Yadav had gone to the toilet between 8 pm and 8:30 pm on Friday evening when three miscreants allegedly barged into the toilet and stabbed him. He was subsequently rescued and taken to the government hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
Police have launched an investigation to identify the miscreants and nab them. Till the last report came in, no leads on the perpetrators have been found yet.
The motive behind the killing is unclear, but police suspect a possible old enmity might have led to the gruesome killing. Meanwhile, forensic teams have the site for further investigation.
