Bhubaneswar: A man allegedly stabbed his father-in-law to death over a family quarrel at Basnaput village under Narayanapatna police limits in Odisha’s Koraput district.
The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra Uluka, while the accused is his son-in-law Shatu Praska.
According to reports, Shatu’s wife was staying with her parents as she was pregnant. On Thursday night, Shatu went to see his wife and found that she had been admitted to a local medical center after going into labour.
Instead of being happy, he was furious and asked his father-in-law why he had admitted his wife to the health center without asking him. This led to a bitter argument between Shatu and his father-in-law. In a fit of fury, Shatu seized a knife and stabbed his father-in-law repeatedly. Ramchandra was rushed to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
On being informed, police arrived in the village and launched an investigation into the incident.
