Bhubaneswar: The Border Security Force (BSF) troops from Company Operating Bases (COBs) at Ghanabeda and Gurasethu, under 177 Bn BSF, conducted a successful operation based on specific intelligence inputs and unearthed a Maoist arms and logistics dump in the jungle region between villages Kenduguda and Salganput in Malkangiri district.
The cache included four steel tiffin IEDs, a small battery, electric wire, a plastic container, and oxygen cylinders. The recovered items, excluding the oxygen cylinders and electric wire, were safely neutralized on-site by the BSF’s Bomb Disposal Squad.
This operation has dealt a significant blow to Maoist elements operating in the region, disrupting their plans and ensuring the safety of the Security Forces and residents. The BSF continues to maintain a strong presence in the district, conducting intensive operations to dismantle Maoist infrastructure.
