Maoists Blow Up Mobile Tower In Chhota Naagara Village On Odisha-Jharkhand Border

Bhubaneswar: In a daring incident, Maoists blew up an Airtel mobile tower in Bahada village under Chhota Naagara police station on Odisha-Jharkhand border.

The incident occurred late Monday night, with reports suggesting that a group of 12-15 armed Maoists arrived at the village around 1 am and ordered the villagers to stay indoors. They then poured petrol on the mobile tower and set it ablaze, causing a massive explosion that shook the entire area.

The Maoists also pasted posters at the site, vowing to avenge the deaths of their comrades. The incident left the villagers in panic.

Meanwhile, security forces have launched a search operation in the area and are investigating the incident.
