Phulbani: Maoists killed a person suspecting him to be a police informer at Kateribhata village under Baliguda police limits of Kandhamal district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Nilakanta Mallick.
In the evening, they allegedly torched a contractor’s camp near Kateribhata.
Reportedly, around 20 to 25 armed Maoists arrived at the camp and torched two tractors, one JCB, and two mixer machines. They left some posters before leaving the site.
The contractor was engaged in road construction work from Kateribhata to Pipali.
