Malkangiri: Maoists have claimed responsibility for the recent attack on security personnel through a press note.

This brazen attack, which took place in a tribal weekly market in Jagargunda, located in the Sukma district of South Bastar, Chhattisgarh, has sparked concerns about the ongoing Maoist insurgency in the region.

The press note, released by the CPI-Maoist’s South Sub-Zonal Bureau, provides details of the attack and includes images showing the Maoists using knives and looting weapons from the officers. Two security personnel were injured in the attack and were later airlifted to Raipur for treatment.

According to the Maoists, a small action team (SAT) carried out the attack, using sharp weapons to injure the two security personnel.
