Sambalpur: The Sambalpur Municipal Corporation on Thursday made it mandatory for people to wear face masks amid rising cases of COVID-19 in the State.
As per the order issued by the Civic authority, people need to compulsorily wear masks when outside and maintain social distancing.
Besides, the hotel, restaurant and tea stall owners have been directed to ensure no crowding on their premises.
If there is any crowd, they will need to facilitate parcel system, and disperse the gathering. Anyone violating the order will be penalised, the order said.
