Baripada: Mayurbhanj District Police on Wednesday organised a Mobile Mela at the District Police Headquarters in Baripada, where 47 mobile phones recovered from different parts of the district were handed over to their rightful owners.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Mayurbhanj Superintendent of Police Varun Guntupalli. The recovered mobile phones had been reported lost at different locations in the district at various times.
The 47 phones were recovered by the District Cyber Crime and Economic Offences Police Station as part of its efforts to trace lost mobile devices and reunite them with their owners.
The recovery operation was carried out under the direct supervision of DSP Ajay Kumar Jena of the Cyber Crime and Economic Offences Police Station.
The owners who received their mobile phones expressed gratitude to the police administration for its efforts in tracing and recovering the devices.
