Bhubaneswar: A woman and her son, who is a Master of Computer Application (MCA) graduate, were arrested by Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar on Friday for being involved in ganja smuggling.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Bharatpur Police and Special Squad had conducted a raid at their house and seized around one quintal of ganja or cannabis.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the duo used to source the ganja from Kandhamal and smuggle it to other States. They were involved in the crime for the past two to three years.
