Koraput: A selfie session in a boat turned tragic for three minor boys in Jalaput Reservoir under Machhkund police limits in Koraput district on Saturday, as their boat capsized, leading to the drowning of two of them.
According to reports, three minors were taking selfies after bathing in the Jalaput reservoir when their boat suddenly overturned. While one of them managed to swim back to shore, the other two—identified as Shiv Hantal and Amit Hantal, both students of Jalaput High School—went missing.
Despite extensive search efforts, the missing boys could not be traced. With nightfall making further operations difficult, authorities have decided to resume the rescue mission tomorrow.
