Konark: Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar, who is currently in Odisha ahead of the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, visited the Konark Sun Temple and the Interpretation Centre here on Tuesday.
According to reports, Jaishankar and his wife were all praise for the ancient architect of Odisha and also visited the Interpretation Centre in Konark. At the Interpretation Centre, Jaishankar and his wife were given a detailed account of the rich culture and history behind the construction of the Sun Temple.
Later in the afternoon, Jaishankar and his family members are scheduled to visit the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri and pay their obeisance before the Trinity.
Meanwhile, several Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) have started flowing into Bhubaneswar to attend the three-day Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference from Wednesday. Some of them travelled to the Holy City for the darshan of Lord Jagannath and his Holy Siblings.
