Mentally-Challenged Woman Gang-Raped In Cuttack, 2 Detained

Cuttack: In yet another incident of violence against women, a mentally-challenged woman has reportedly been gang-raped in Cuttack’s Salepur police station area.

According to the police, the victim is mentally-challenged and a native of Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred when the homeless woman was sleeping on the pavement of a shop in Salepur on Monday night. A medical examination of the victim confirmed that she was gang-raped.

Following a complaint in this regard, Salepur police have launched an investigation into the case. Two persons have been detained in connection with the crime.
