Mercury Crosses 35°C In Six Places Of Odisha; Jharsuguda Hottest At 37°C

Bhubaneswar: Six places in Odisha recorded maximum temperatures above 35°C today, with Jharsuguda being the hottest at 37°C.

Sundergarh followed closely with a temperature of 36.9°C, while Boudh, Bolangir, and Titilagarh recorded 36.5°C. Sambalpur’s temperature stood at 36.4°C, and Bhubaneswar recorded a relatively cooler 34°C, weather scientist Umashankar Dash informed through X..

The state is expected to experience dry weather over the next week, with temperatures set to rise further.

The minimum temperature is likely to increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next four to five days, adding to the discomfort caused by the heat wave, Met department said.
