Mercury Crosses 39°C In Five Odisha Towns; Paralakhemundi Hottest

Bhubaneswar: The maximum temperature today crossed 39 degrees C in five towns in Odisha with Paralakhemundi emerging hottest at 39.8 degrees C.

Boudh was also simmering with the mercury touching 39.5 degrees while Nayagarh became the third hottest place with 39.2 degrees C.

Titilagarh and Bhawanipatna recorded 39.2 Degrees C and 39 Degrees C respectively.

The meteorological centre at Bhubaneswar stated that eight other places in the state witnessed above 38 degrees C. These are Phulbani (38.9, Talcher (38.6), Rayagada (38.6), Cuttack (38.4), Jharsuguda (38.3), Malkangiri (38.2), Chandbali (38.2) and Angul (38.1).
