Minimum Temperatures Fall In Odisha: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday reported a drop in minimum temperatures across several districts of Odisha. Phulabani recorded the lowest at 5.5°C, while Rourkela and Jharsuguda registered 6.6°C each.

Other cold spots included Bolangir at 8.2°C, Bhawanipatna 8.4°C, Angul and Dhenkanal 8.6°C, Sundargarh 8.8°C, Keonjhar 9°C, and Nabarangpur 9.5°C. Sonepur and Koraput recorded 9.6°C, Daringibadi 10°C, Cuttack 10.2°C, Rayagada 10.4°C, and Baripada 10.6°C. Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum of 10.7°C, while Nuapada, Deogarh, Boudh, and Sambalpur were at 11°C.

The IMD has advised residents, especially in colder districts, to take precautions against the chilly weather, including wearing warm clothing and ensuring the elderly and children are protected.
