Kujanga (Jagatsinghpur): A shocking incident has come to light in Balpata village under Kujanga police station in Jagatsinghpur district, where a minor boy was allegedly forced to consume alcohol by two men, one of whom has now been arrested.
According to the complaint filed by the boy’s father, Jagabandhu Swain, the incident occurred when his son had gone to a nearby field to attend nature’s call. At that time, the accused, identified as Manoranjan Samantray alias Manuri of Kankradiya village, along with an associate, allegedly called the child into an isolated house where they were consuming alcohol. The duo then confined the boy, forcibly made him drink beer, and mocked him.
The matter took a serious turn after a video of the boy being forced to drink alcohol went viral on social media, sparking outrage in the area.
Based on the complaint, Kujanga police registered a case and have arrested one of the accused. Investigations are underway to trace and nab the other person involved.
