Bhubaneswar: A day before the publication of matric exam results, a 15-year-old boy who had appeared for the exam allegedly killed his father over a family dispute. The incident occurred at Tihuri village under Balipatana police station on Bhubaneswar’s outskirts.
The deceased has been identified as Gajaraj Bhoi.
According to reports, Gajaraj created a scene at home under the influence of alcohol, which led to a heated argument with his minor son.
The dispute took a violent turn, and the boy reportedly hit his father on the head with a rod, causing severe injuries. Gajaraj was rushed to Adaspur Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Meanwhile, police seized the body and sent it for autopsy.
