Nabarangpur: A minor boy who had gone to graze goats got stuck between rocks at Karaghati village under Jaipatna block in Kalahandi district bordering Tentulikhunti block of Nabarangpur district on Thursday.
The 12-year-old boy had gone to graze the goats on a nearby hill yesterday morning. At around 10 AM, a villager heard his screams and on inquiry found that the minor boy had got his head stuck between the rocks.
On getting information, villagers rushed to the spot and tried to rescue the minor boy but their efforts went in vain. When the matter came to the notice of Tentulikhunti BDO Duryodhana Bhoi, he immediately called the fire brigade for the rescue.
Bhoi and other local officials rushed to the spot and extended their hand in the rescue operation. At around 8 PM, the minor boy was rescued from the rocks. The BDO immediately took him to Patraput Primary Health Centre (PHC) in his vehicle.
After receiving preliminary treatment, the minor boy was shifted to Tentulikhunti Community Health Centre (CHC). The boy’s condition was reportedly stable after the treatment.
