Jajpur: Tension ran high at Binjharpur Community Health Centre in Jajpur district, after a minor boy allegedly died after receiving wrong injections.

According to reports, Satyanarayan, son of Rama Mallick of Rautara village under Binjharpur block, was rushed to Binjharpur Community Health Centre on Tuesday night after he started vomiting and feeling ill.

The doctor on duty prescribed two injections, which were administered by the nursing staff to the ailing boy. Shortly after, the boy’s condition worsened, and despite the doctor’s efforts, he died.

Alleging medical negligence by the doctor, the family members of the deceased staged a protest on the hospital premises.
