Bhubaneswar: A fire at Keshari Mall on Sunday morning spread panic among the public and shopkeepers on the premises. A short circuit in the battery room on the second floor of the mall led to the fire, reports stated.
A team from the local fire station at Kalpana Square was pressed into action. The firefighters were able to control the situation within half an hour as it was a minor incident, they stated.
While the loss of property in the mishap is being assessed, fire safety and prevention measures of the Keshari Mall are under the scanner. A similar incident took place at this mall in April this year.
