Berhampur: In yet another incident of crime against women, a Plus II girl student was reportedly gang-raped by her friends in Odisha’s Berhampur a few days ago. The matter came to light only recently and the police have detained eight persons in connection with the heinous crime.
According to reports, the rape survivor had gone to a friend’s house in Berhampur where she was allegedly drugged and gang-raped by eight people. Her friends reportedly spiked her cold drink before raping her.
Baidyanathpur Police in Berhampur has registered a complaint in this regard based on the victim’s complaint. The police have detained all the eight accused for interrogation.
