Bhubaneswar: A 10-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Peonapada under Phulbani Town police station in Kandhamal district.
According to reports, the girl’s body was found hanging in her own house. The girl’s parents were not at home when the incident occurred. When they returned, they found their daughter hanging and immediately took her to the District Headquarters Hospital, where she was declared dead.
Police suspect that the girl’s minor brother might be involved in her murder, and an investigation is underway.
Phulbani Town Police seized the body for post-mortem, registered a case and started an investigation into the matter to ascertain the exact cause of death.
