Bhubaneswar: Police on Saturday arrested two men for allegedly gang-raping a minor girl at a hotel in the Saheed Nagar area of Bhubaneswar.

The accused have been identified as Akhaya Das (28), a resident of Keranga, and Sahil Khan (26), from Mukundprasad in Khurda district.

According to police, the minor girl’s male friend had called her to a hotel in the Saheed Nagar area of the capital city for a meeting on Saturday. However, he did not turn up even though the minor girl reached the place on time and contacted him over the phone. The two men reportedly reached the hotel and urged her to wait a little longer for her male friend. They later raped the minor girl.

The victim somehow managed to escape from the duo, reached Saheed Nagar police station, and lodged a complaint.

Based on this, the police launched an investigation and arrested the duo.
