Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly abducted a youth, an interior decorator by profession, from near a shopping mall in the Rasulgarh locality of Bhubaneswar on Tuesday evening.
The abducted youth has been identified as Priyabrata Sahoo. He is a native of Belabahali village under Anandapur police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
According to reports, the incident occurred when Priyabrata and his friends were going from Rasulgarh Square to the shopping mall. Suddenly, some miscreants intercepted him and left the area in a car.
Some unidentified miscreants picked up the youth in a white car. While Priyabrata’s friends shouted for help, it was of no help. Later, one of his friends lodged an FIR with Sahid Nagar police in this regard. Soon, a police team reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident. The reason why the youth was abducted is yet to be ascertained.
