Bhubaneswar: The unscrupulous elements responsible for the violence during Durga puja immersion have been identified, and the process of arresting them is underway, informed Twin City Police Commissioner S. Dev Datta Singh.
“We have pinpointed the miscreants. Three cases have been registered in connection with the clash. To maintain law and order, central forces have been deployed across key areas of Cuttack. Immediate action will be taken against those involved in the disturbance. The police have been instructed to act swiftly against the troublemakers,” he added.
Singh, meanwhile, appealed to the public to refrain from believing or spreading rumours, which could exacerbate the situation. Police are closely monitoring the city to prevent further incidents and ensure calm during the ongoing festive period.
