Dhenkanal: Miscreants broke into the ATM, stole huge cash, and then attempted to destroy evidence by breaking the CCTV camera and hard disk. They also set the ATM ablaze. The daring heist took place on Wednesday night at an SBI ATM near Panchubati under Sadar police station in Dhenkanal district.
The police swung into action, chasing the robbers and arresting two individuals with a car from the Motanga police station area. However, the remaining robbers managed to escape with the loot in another car, evading the police.
A police team is also trying to arrest other robbers who are believed to be heading towards Sambalpur.
