Mishap At NALCO Plant Leaves Two Construction Workers Dead, One Injured

Koraput: At least two construction labourers died when the expansion work of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) at Damanjodi in Odisha was in progress on Tuesday. The mishap also left another critically injured.

The accident took place when an iron rod fell on the labourers at the construction site.

According to sources, all three workers belonged to Jharkhand. They were busy working at the alumina refinery plant when they fell prey to the accident. Two of them succumbed while on the spot another suffered critical injuries.

While one of the deceased was identified as Sama Rajbanshi (41), the identities of other deceased and injured are yet to be ascertained.

People rushed the trio to Nalco hospital but doctors declared two of them dead. The condition of the other worker is stated to be critical and he is undergoing treatment.
