Jeypore: The body of an Anganwadi worker was found in a forest near Kuhudigam under Kotpad police limits of Koraput district on Monday.
Reportedly, the deceased identified as Basanti Soura had gone missing from her house yesterday evening. Family members searched for her everywhere but were unable to trace Basanti.
Today morning, some villagers discovered her body in the nearby forest and informed her family members. Subsequently, they recovered the body and lodged a police complaint alleging she was murdered.
Based on the complaint, police detained one youth for interrogation and sent the body for post-mortem.
