Missing Boy’s Body Recovered From Near Kathajodi River Bridge In Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: Police recovered the body of a 16-year-old boy, who went missing on Friday, from near the Kathajodi river bridge in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Tuesday.

According to reports, the Class X student had gone missing four days ago and his family members had launched a search to trace him. Eventually, they lodged a complaint with the Madhupatna police.

Following the complaint, the police launched a search operation and finally found the boy’s body near the Kathajodi river bridge in the Gopalpur area on Tuesday morning. The boy’s bicycle, shoes, and bag were found in the river bed on Monday.

Later, the boy’s family members reached the spot and identified the body.

The precise cause behind the death is yet to be ascertained. The police have sent the body for postmortem and launched an investigation.
