Berhampur: Canara Bank’s Baramba branch manager Tapan Kumar Sahu who went missing for the last two days has been traced to Girishola in Ganjam district today.
He was caught by Golanthara police while riding a bike from Andhra Pradesh to Girishola. Police traced him after tracking his mobile phone and getting information from various reliable sources.
The reason of his missing is unclear. He has been taken to Golanthara police station for questioning. The family members of the banker also reached the police station after getting information.
Baideswar police has also been informed in this regard. Police said workload is the reason behind his missing.
Sahu, the branch manager of Canara Bank’s Baramba branch had gone missing on Monday while he was returning from Ganjam.
According to reports, Tapan had gone to the bank’s Kalapathar branch in Cuttack district on official work and was returning to Baramba when his mobile phone was switched off near Patani chhak.
As he did not return home till late in the night and his relatives were unable to locate his whereabouts, they lodged a complaint with the police.
