Missing Chinese Sailor’s Body Fished Out Of Sea In Paradip

Bhubaneswar: The body of a Chinese sailor, who had gone missing after accidentally falling into the sea from a ship in Paradip Port, was fished out on Sunday.

The deceased Chinese sailor was identified as Zhang Tai.

According to reports, Tai had gone missing after he had fallen into the water while setting up a ladder at the Paradip International Cargo Terminal (PICT) as the ship was preparing to depart after unloading. Tai had gone missing after the incident, while another crew member was rescued.

A joint team consisting of the Coast Guard, NDRF, Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), state marine police, scuba divers, and CISF launched an extensive search operation after Tai went missing. On Sunday, the police retrieved Tai’s body after it was spotted floating in the water.
