Youth Goes Missing

Bhubaneswar: The body of a Class-III student who had gone missing since Wednesday evening was found floating in a pond at Brundabanviharipur on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Suryakant Behera, a resident of Muktapur Nuasahi under Chandpur police limits in Nayagarh district.

As per reports, Suryakant left to play on Wednesday evening but he did not return. As he delayed to return, his family members made a fanatic launch but in vain.

On a tip-off, the firefighting team searched for Suryakant in different ponds near her house. However, the fire brigade officers also failed to find the little boy.

Villagers of Brundabanviharipur found Suryakant’s body floating in a pond which is one and a half kilometres away from his village and informed his family.

Police meanwhile retrieved the body from the pond and sent it for post-mortem.
