Dhenkanal: Police recovered the body of a missing girl from a bush, a few yards away from Kendriya Vidyalaya at Mangalpur under Sadar police limits of Dhenkanal on Friday.
According to sources, the deceased girl identified as Jalandhar Sahu’s daughter Jasmin had gone to a coaching centre at Kunjakanta on Thursday afternoon. After her class, she left the coaching centre but did not reach home.
As she delayed to return home, her family members launched a frantic search but in vain.
Later, her body was found a few yards away from Kendriya Vidyalaya.
On a tip-off, police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Jasmin’s family members, meanwhile, alleged that Jasmin’s body was thrown away after she was killed by miscreants.
Sadar Police is investigating the matter.
