Balasore: The Remuna police in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday recovered the body of a 10-year-old girl, who was missing from home for the last three days, from an abandoned building in Balgopalpur. According to reports, the minor had been suspectedly kidnapped.
The victim was missing from home for the last three days and her family members had lodged a missing report at the Remuna police station in this connection. She was abducted by a youth from Nuapadhi panchayat on Tuesday morning.
The body was detected when some people residing near the abandoned building complained to the police that foul smell emitting from building. On being informed, police launched a search at the building and detected the body of the missing girl.
One person has been detained in this connection and further probe is underway.
