Bhubaneswar: The body of a missing minor, who had drowned in the Koel River, was found floating in the Tarkera Dam under Raghunathpali police limits in Rourkela, on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Pratik, a resident of Sector-20 Pump House Basti in Sundargarh.
According to reports, three minors had drowned at Hamirpur Ghat near Sector 19 in Rourkela on Sunday. Fire Services personnel managed to rescue two of them but failed to trace Pratik’s body. Local fishermen found his body floating in the Tarkera Dam today morning and informed police.
Upon receiving a tip-off, police rushed to the scene, sent the body for autopsy and informed his family members.
