Bhubaneswar: Members of Mission Shakti Self Help Groups (SHGs) from the districts of Cuttack, Khordha and Nayagarh called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas today evening.
The Chief Minister thanked the members for taking up the responsibility of making and distributing national flags for the celebration of 76th Independence Day celebration on August 15th.
Praising the work of Mission Shakti SHG members, Secretary to CM (5T) V K Pandian said that the Chief Minister has full confidence in them.
“You have also made the dreams and hopes of the Chief Minister come true by taking the lead in development in the villages,” Pandian told the SHG members.
The SHG members expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for entrusting them with the responsibility of making national flags.
“We are proud to have been associated with Mission Shakti and have been able to develop our talent,” the SHG members stated.
Worth mentioning that this year, on the occasion of the completion of the 75th anniversary of independence, the State government entrusted Mission Shakti SHG members with the responsibility of preparing and distributing 30 lakh national flags.
