Bhubaneswar: A first-year MBBS student of MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, has been reported missing since August 31.The missing student has been identified as Sagar Sahu (20), a native of Jajpur district.
He was last seen near Berhampur Railway Station wearing a white shirt and carrying a college bag. He is around 5’6″ in height. His mobile phone was recovered from an area near the railway track, police said.
MKCG Medical College Dean has lodged a missing complaint at Baidyanathpur Police Station following which police have launched an investigation.
Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M said, “After receiving a man missing report at Baidyanathpur police station, police formed a team and launched an operation to trace the student. We are verifying the CCTV footage and his mobile phone. We are also questioning his friends regarding his mental condition. We hope he would be traced soon.”
Police have appealed to the public to remain vigilant and share information. Anyone having information about his whereabouts has been requested to contact police or inform the nearest police station.
