Berhampur: A group of second-year postgraduate students from the Paediatrics Department of Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati (MKCG) Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur have lodged serious allegations of harassment and mental torture against an associate professor.
The students submitted a formal complaint to the Dean and Superintendent of the institution, urging immediate intervention and demanding that the faculty member be relieved of teaching responsibilities.
In their complaint, the students alleged that the associate professor frequently used abusive language and created a hostile work environment, causing them significant mental distress.
Responding to the development, Superintendent Dr. Durga Madhab Satapathy said the administration is taking the matter seriously. “A meeting will be convened shortly to assess the complaint and take appropriate action based on its merit,” he added.
