Bhubaneswar: Passengers travelling in Mo Bus escaped unhurt as the bus caught fire at CDA Sector-9 in Cuttack on Friday. However, none of the passengers were hurt thanks to the swift response of the driver.
According to sources, the mishap took place when the bus was on its way to Cuttack from Puri. The driver noticed the fire and alerted passengers to get off the bus quickly.
By the time the fire was extinguished by the fire brigade officials, it was almost gutted. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
This is not the first time a Mo Bus has caught fire, as a similar incident occurred in Rourkela city on May 20.
Several passengers had a close shave after a Mo Bus caught fire in Rourkela on May 20. The bus was en-route to Vedvyas from Rourkela when the mishap took place.
As per reports, the mishap took place near TCI Square due to some technical glitch. However, all the passengers got down from the bus which was completely gutted within minutes.
