Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for continued rainfall over six districts of Odisha in the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 8:16 am, moderate to heavy rain will continue over Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Baleshwar and parts of Sundergada, Deogada and Anugola during the next three hours.
The weather department has advised residents in these areas to take necessary safety measures and avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rainfall.
People have also been urged to stay away from low-lying areas, waterlogged roads and weak structures.
With the low pressure system active over the region, intermittent spells of rain and thunderstorm are expected to persist through the morning hours.
