Bhubaneswar: Monsoon has been subdued in Odisha during the last two days as it has started withdrawing from the state. Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh; some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and north interior Karnataka; most parts of Maharashtra and some more parts of central Arabian Sea on Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its midday bulletin today.
The north-south trough now runs from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to north Odisha across Gangetic West Bengal and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level. As a result, sry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
