Jayapur: Odisha’s most wanted criminal and notorious dacoit Tuna Harijan has been arrested from Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh and taken into police custody.
Harijan is the mastermind behind several dacoity and temple loot incidents in various parts of Koraput district. In recent days, he had also attacked and beaten up police personnel and damaged a police vehicle.
To nab him, Koraput police had laid a trap. A special team was formed under the direction of Koraput SP Rohit Varma.
The independent team comprising two officers Monas Pujari and Abhishek Panigrahi, along with a team led by SI Siddhant Behera of Borigumma police station, succeeded in catching Tuna Harijan from Jagdalpur.
