Cuttack: A young motorcyclist was killed in a tragic road accident on the river embankment road near Biren Mitra Park in the CDA area of Cuttack on Saturday. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Mangalabag police station.
According to preliminary information, a private college bus rammed into the motorcycle the youth was riding. The victim was reportedly travelling from the Nabarangpur Patana area when the accident took place. The impact of the collision was severe, leaving the rider critically injured on the spot.
On receiving information, personnel from Mangalabag police station rushed to the scene and initiated necessary procedures. The injured youth was declared dead, following which the body was sent to SCB Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been ascertained. Police have seized both the motorcycle and the private college bus involved in the accident and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
