Keonjhar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a mega steel plant in Keonjhar district is likely to be signed during the two-day ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make In Odisha 2025’ conclave, scheduled to commence on January 28.

Speaking during his visit to the district, the Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s commitment to Keonjhar’s development, stating that the district holds a top position in Odisha’s developmental priorities. He assured that efforts are being intensified to enhance various sectors, including health and education, across the district.

Highlighting ongoing infrastructure developments, the Chief Minister inaugurated a 67-meter-long bridge with a 175-meter approach road over a canal in Jhumpura. The new bridge, connecting Jhumpura and Ukhunda, is expected to benefit 10,000 people daily by improving connectivity in the region.

Majhi reaffirmed the government’s dedication to balanced and sustainable development, particularly in resource-rich districts like Keonjhar.
