One Dead, Another Seriously Injured In Bike Collision In Balasore

Bike Collision In Balasore

Bhubaneswar: One person was killed and another seriously injured in a tragic road accident that occurred near Brahman Pokhari Chowk in Balasore district on Tuesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Behera (45), a resident of Deuli village under Khaira police limits in Balasore district.

According to reports, Ganesh Behera and his friend Sunanda Behera were riding a scooter to the market when they collided head-on with another motorcycle near a petrol pump in front of Brahman Pokhari Chowk. The collision left both Ganesh and Sunanda critically injured.

Locals quickly rushed to the scene and transported the victims to the CHC Soro Medical Centre. Unfortunately, doctors at the hospital declared Ganesh dead upon arrival.

Meanwhile, Sunanda’s condition remained critical and he was later transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for further treatment.

Khaira police arrived at the accident site following a tip-off and have launched an investigation into the incident. Further details are awaited.
