Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance officials unearthed major assets during the ongoing searches on properties linked to Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Junior Engineer (JE) in the CAD Division in Bhadrak, in disproportionate assets (DA) case.
During the raids conducted so far, the Vigilance team has discovered two multi-storeyed buildings, seven valuable plots, cash worth Rs 1.73 lakh, three two-wheelers, and gold ornaments.
The measurement and valuation of the properties are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing. The assets include a triple-storeyed building measuring approximately 3500 square feet at Samaraipur in Bhadrak town and a double-storeyed building of around 2600 square feet at Narasingdiha village under Basta police station in Balasore district.
In addition, seven plots have been unearthed in the name of Mohanty and his family members. These include two plots in Bhadrak town, one plot at Balianta on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, three plots in the periphery of Basta town, and one plot at Amarda in Rasgovindpur. The weighing of gold ornaments is currently in progress, while details of bank deposits, postal savings, and other financial investments are being ascertained.
